Lost code light found, 90 22-RE truck

Hey Guys, Here's a good one, Got an instrument cluster from a junker. After I painted the needles it looked like new and better yet it worked great. Cost: $Free.98 !! Well, Murphy struck and one day the engine stopped. But no codes. I new this had to be wrong because I changed the exhaust system and never used the oxygen sensors. Should of had a code 21 & 27.

I turned on the ignition switch and shorted W at the CPU to ground, this should have turned on the light, but it didnt. I finally modivated my LAZY ^$$ bod and tore into the dash board to trace the circuit contunity from W at the ECU through the code bulb and fuse all the way to the ignition switch. What did I find? NADA, ZIP, BUDKUS. So I wiped the blood from the groves in the my head I did it again measuring voltage. All good!

Now after I've dazzled you with my wit and loquaciousness you're probably asking yourself where was the light? Well folks. it was there all along. The fuel meter didn't have a translucent section.

Moral: Never underestimate the power of DUH. Me
