loose steering wheel

i just bought a 93 single cab pickup dlx 3.0 5 speed 4x4 the steering is a little loose. I just bought the parts to rebuild the front end but it feels like the shaft joint may need replacing, despite my best efforts I have not been able to find the joint. So my question is can I rebuild the shaft with a new joint or what are my options?

Thank you guys and girls.

What part do you need here?

That diagram is from this site:
http://toyotaparts.checkeredflag.com...wd=&origin=pla

They list the part numbers so that should help locating the part you want.
Also, have you checked car-part.com for a salvage part? Good site for used parts.

that's what im not sure of could be 1,7,8,9, or 10. I have been trying to find a new one but no luck and now thinking about rebuilding it but don't know how hard it will be or is. I have a decent amount of know how.

My brother had this problem. It turned out to be a loose nut behind the wheel.

Car-part.com shows steering columns in my area range $55-125. Looks like you must know tilt, floor shift, and manual steering variables for a correct match. Good luck!

Part one is just a sleeve that the steering rod goes through.

there is some adjustment that can be made on top of the steering box that may help
