Loose front passenger's side axle flange

well my passenger side axle flange is loose to the point of leaking oil, any ideas on how this is fixed?

i read in this link Link on 4x4wire that the non ADD didnt have a bearing supporting the axle shafts and becomes wobbly.

oh its on my 86 4runner.

Thanks,

Tom

Maybe a pic would help, I know I'm not sure what you're talking about. Do you mean you front drive shaft flange maybe?

I'd venture to say, the passenger side flange @ the differential.

Either way... t0mwat3r... have you checked the online FSM's listed at the top of the forum list?

Oh I see now, but sorry I don't have a quick fix. May have to replace the carrier. May as well do a SAS I guess.

I believe there is a spring/circlip on the end of the shaft that locks it into the diff. Maybe check that?
