Looking at a 95 4runner

I found a deal on a 1995 4runner, it has the 3.0 v6 motor, 5 speed transmission...

Im wondering if this motor is one that might have trouble with head gaskets?

What years had problems?

Thanks,

Paul

90-95 3.0s had the head gasket problem. My advice would be to get a 93-94 (they have the newer front end) that has not already had the head gasket replaced. This way you can drive it for awhile till something does happen and then take it to toyota and get it all fixed for free. MAKE SURE to check the VIN with toyota first to make sure that it is covered and that it has not already been done.
