Lock Right possible issues

First off i have researched this, but was just looking for some input. I have a Lock Right in the back of my truck, been about 6 months since install, maybe 4,000 miles. Recently, it has been popping when applying throttle and occasionally with accelerating in a straight line. I know how these work and they are expected to pop, click, and ratchet in some situations. I'm just looking for input on what people think is the problem. From what i've researched, it is possible pin/spring problems, thrust washers worn, or the teeth on the locker are worn and are on their way out. I just think it should last longer than this but i understand they aren't the strongest. I'm on 33" KM2's BTW thanks.

Mine has done what you described since new. Ive only put about 500 miles on it, strictly in the woods. As long as it unlocks I wouldn't worry, I'm on 33's also.

Mine has done the same since I have had it, usually happens once every week or so but I might go a month without it happening pretty sure it's the nature of the beast

Could be normal. Could be broken.
Really hard to tell.
Here was mine after 4.5 years, 100k miles and tons of trail abuse.

When I first had mine, it would do the occasional (once a week) pop after getting back on the gas after a turn.
When mine broke, it would pop and ratchet at random when I was accelerating and got worse during coasting. It got so bad that a couple times it wouldn't lock up at all. It would act like the clutch was slipping and I'd have no power to the rear wheels.

well today it free spooled on me twice, pulled out, although it was very cold outside, i feel that shouldn't affect it, and when i got on the gas in 1st it was like i was in neutral so i'm sadly believing it is broken now.

Granted this is from abuse, but I has a buddy in college that installed a lockrite in his '87 during school. In the next two months, he had it warranties three times for broken teeth on the locker. Every two weeks we had his third member out to remove the locker and send it out to be warrantied. His was an '87 on 33's. I haven't really trusted them since but like I said, his was probably abuse. That was tryin to burn out on asphalt and serious amounts of wheel spin and clutch drops off road.
