I have decided not to dump anymore money into my peice of ˟˟˟˟˟ 3.0 and put a SBC in it, if you know of any links or write-ups please post the up, I'm sure I will need all the help I can get, thanks

I'm in the exact same position with my 22re...
If I decide to keep the truck next year I'm going to do the SBC swap with a TH350 mated to the toyota transfer case with an Advanced Adapters adapter.
Downey actually makes a free engine swap guide that they'll send out for the asking. I got a copy of it and scanned it and put it on my server so I could read it while I was at work. I'll PM you a link...
There's nothing really all that great online that I've found...

For me, the main draw of using a SBC is how easy they are to work on and the cheapness and availability of replacement engines. You can get brand new 290hp longblocks from Chevy for less than $1600. You can't even get a rebuilt 22re for that...
Btw, back OT, I have seen a few very nice buildup threads over on Pirate4x4. Check out some of crash's threads.
