Red face lift queastion

I found someone that has a lift kit for sale. It's for the 1st gen 4runner but i'm just wondering if he trying to rip me off here is the queastion. Does any company out there make a 7.5 inch lift for the 1st gen 4runner? If so can you list them so i can get a idea whay to look for and measure to see if it is a real 7.5 lift.

The only way I can see getting that much is using a 4.5" lift(pro comp, super lift ect...),Ball Joint Spacers 1.5" and torsion bars or cranking stock bars to 1.5" granting you 7" of lift. I don't see any other way to get the IFS portion of the suspension lifted, except longer A-arms which is like the Downey and Total Chaos systems, these are super expensive and doubt that anyone will get a good deal on a kit.
What parts does this individual say is in the kit?

7" lift would require a SA up front. Superlift makes them:

The guy said that he bought it from skyjacker but they only make the 4" kit I'm going to look at it saturday I only know of a 5" lift from rough country. He also said that it had extra parts that he bought. i asked for pictures and he sent me one off the internet but it was of a rough country kit

saying "1st Gen 4Runner" is misleading. "1st Gen" (84-90) 4Runner's were available with leaf spring (84-85) and IFS (86>).
It's possible to get 7+ inches from the leaf springs, but not so easy from IFS..

Only way to get 7.5" of lift with IFS is a bracket lift, a tbar crank or bj spacers, and a body lift. Unless he's giving you 3 separate lifts in a box he's FOS...

i just bought that lift for my stepson's pickup. and it is in fact a 5in lift and then we added a 3in body and got 8. just making sure i wasn't missing something when we looked for his lift. because my 4runner calls for the same lift as his.

The kit is a 4" kit no matter what the idiot tells you...

RC and Superlift both call it 4-5" but the extra inch is from them telling you to crank the tbars. So assuming the guy does have bj spacers (probably 1.5" spacers) he's still only giving you a 5.5" lift...
