Lift kits
Hello,
I am contemplating removing my old rough country suspension lift kit, as I have very few positive things to say about it. I bought and installed it about seven years ago. The kit is a 4 inch that came with blocks for the back and spacers for the front, not ball joint spacers. This past winter I installed new Bilstein shocks, which were a welcome improvement over the terrible rough country shocks I had that came with the kit. My question today is, If I wanna remove the 4 inch kit and swap in a ~2 inch, what company or brand should I go with? What parts should I buy? Keep in mind I have shocks that will work fine with a ~2” kit.. What style, as I know kits have improved with technology in the past ~decade, and there is much be better engineering out there? So far, it seems I will want to replace my leaf springs in the back, enabling me to not have blocks at all back there, and ball joints spacers in the front? What do you guys think and what is your advice? This is my daily driver, so better road handling is always positive. Lastly, it doesn’t have to be exactly 2 inches. I know that I want to come down from 4 inches for sure, but it doesn’t have to be exactly 2 inches. Thanks for any advice and help!
