These are called Ball Joint spacers (TONS of info on this) and they are designed to go in between the control arm and upper ball joint on your front suspension. This will just lift your front 2 inches, not the whole truck. If you want a small lift you could go with these & a set of 2 inch lift Old Man Emu leaf springs in the rear and that will level the truck & give you room for 33 inch tires!

Remember that you have to get longer shocks with this setup though...

You can find BJ spacers smaller than 2 inches if it's too much for what you need... Any pics of the truck?

Those ball joint spacers on ebay Kind of sketch me out. For one thing SDORI and Roger Brown strongly back the 1.5" spacers from what I have seen as a larger one really get's you into the iffy range with your cv axles. For 2 I was also looking on ebay for a small lift for my 94 4Runner. Their kits ALL state that the lift is for a 2" front and 1.5" coil spacer in the rear which is exactly the opposite of what any 2nd gen 4runner needs. Even if it's a marketing booboo it tells you that the company doesn't care enough to know what the vehicle needs, or they don't care enough to even label it correctly if in fact it is a 1.5" front and 2" rear lift. I also would question the type of material they use and whether or not they use properly graded hardware. If you notice the descriptions are kind of weak and I'm sure the return policy isn't very strong either. I'm sure people have bought them and they were fine but your only saving 20-40 dollars over our vendors who carry the tried and true.

It's up to you ultimately, I'm not trying to be your dad. I'm just saying what route I'd go.

Either way, it's sketchball.

I'd get your bj spacers from 4crawler, SDORI, or Wabfab. They are on hundreds of vehicles on this site with little to no problems with their spacers and wabfab even offers a coupon code for their parts just for being a Yotatech member. The little money you save on ebay could cost you a LOT of headaches. If you have a problem with any of the companies I suggested they will take care of you quickly, efficiently and properly. These companies also put their effort towards keeping this very site alive so they deserve the business.
