Leak in the front of the tranny.

As the title explains, I have an oil leak in the front of my Manual 5 speed trans. 94 22re. I thinking it might be a seal. Im not sure if this is a common problem, I searched and no luck. If it is a seal how hard do u guys think it would be to fix?

Are you sure the leak is coming from the transmission? It may be that your rear crank seal is leaking. Is the leak coming from where the motor meets the transmission. If it is the crank seal leaking it is not to hard but it is just a pain because you have to pull the transmission just to get at it. Just out of curiosity are you running synthetic oil?

You have to pull the trans either way. Both were leaking on mine. If your clutch is old just plan on replacing that and the seals while you're at it. I just did mine and it took 6-7 hours with a lot of screwing around with my buddies. The front trans seal is on the back of this cover:
