Leaf swap idea

I have a 91 pickup doing a sas with skyjacker 7" leafs that are 48" long so for 2n gen and my rear is 51"
is putting on shorter leafs a bad idea for the bad or should i get some longer ones?

They should work fine, but you will probably have to move the rear shackle mount to get the correct shackle angle.

You will have to move the perch to use them. If you don't, shackle angle will be like 90* and chances are you will invert them very easily - like street driving easy.
