^^You're right, I'm going to have to wait until I can afford a high flow cat and a magnaflow muffler but it will only be a few weeks. I just wanted to post some pics as soon as I got it in the mail to prove to you guys I was serious. (And I know you enjoy looking at pictures of headers naked on living room floors)

if you get the 2 1/4" cat from LCE, its a Magna hi flow cat with flanges welded on. 119 isn't terrible. it wasn't the cheapest, but again, the flanges will match up. No leaks.

Actually, I was thinking I would get a universal cat and have my local exhaust shop weld it into place. They do really good work for super cheap prices.

you should DEFFFF get a high-flow cat the last thing you wan't is for all the flow the header is generating to get baffled by crappy cat...just my opinion

So, I'm thinking I should hit the LCE Street headers with some header paint or you guys are saying they are already ceramic coated so I'm good to go from the factory?

zachw90- don't worry I'm getting a high flow magnaflow and 2.25" exhaust before I put it in that's why I'm saying I'll have to save for a few weeks.

I would at least get the 18 inch magnaflow, if not longer.

I now have some sort of sound deadening of the cargo area on my list for a summer project. Especially since I run a soft top in the summer.

They are already coated, but I would touch up any part of the finish that gets damaged during installation with paint.

I think you should be good with just buying the header. The coating is really really good on it and is very strong.. Many other yotatech memebers have this header and absolutely love it.. I just don't know what the hell was wrong with mine, haha but LCE sure picked up the slack and hooked me up RIGHT AWAY

Well, no offense but your pic shows your truck caked in snow and that is a catalyst for rust out here. My truck had no rust on the body when I bought 6 months ago and the only rust to speak of is on the CV axles and lower control arms, I think the key out here is rinsing it off in the winter. I think I'm gonna go economy and get high flow cat and this:

to be honest I'd just as soon run my stock exhaust and a magnaflow high flow cat if that were acceptable.

Like it was said, stainless band clamps, and i like Lce, i am surprised they send out a product that goes south so soon. Cape Cod r not.

I don't think you can blame it on the region, it's not that bad out here if you pay attention and wash your truck in the winter. It just takes a little more effort than the west coast

After all my incessant posting I'm going to take the plunge and get the LCE header, I'm sure it will be fine and last the life of my 20 year old truck anyways.
I just need to settle on the rest of my exhaust components now. The concensus is 2.25", I was hoping maybe I could get away with keeping my stock pipes as they are new and just throw in a magnaflow cat or run no cat? Any ideas?

I run no cat, wayyyy less restiction in airflow, increase in power, increase exhaust smell, but prepare for it to be loud!

Yeah, but you are running a 2.25" exhaust no? I'm considering just bolting up the header(due to cost constraints) and running either a high-flow cat and my 2" pipes or no cat at all. Any opinions on this?

Doesn't make all that much of a difference .25 of an inch? if anything your gonna get a little more backpressure. I deffinitly reccomend not running a cat becuase in MA everything PRE 95 doesn't require emmissions. much more flow, although you would have to take your views on the environment into account.
