Just finished lifting my '88 4runner w/ OME rear setup (Dakar leaves, medium shocks, shackles, etc) and 4crawler BJ spacers in the front (excellent service BTW, ordered on a Friday, had them by Tuesday or Wednesday and I'm on the other side of the country). I was hoping that it would end up looking something like Dieselfreak's 4runner, but I ended up with quite alot of lift in the rear for some reason (probably 4" to 5 over stock). I ended up adjusting the torsion bars so that I gained about 3" up front. I'm currently running 31" BFG A/T's, and it looks quite silly with this much lift. I'll try and get some pictures up soon. Any ideas how this happened?

 

those springs will probably settle a little. but i would relax those t bars ASAP. i ran 1.5in bj spacers and crnaked my t bars 1.5inches and i went thru a set of cvs the first week. those CVs are gonn abe waaaaaay to steep. when i would lock my hubs in the whole front end would bounce up and down bc they were so steep. trust me. been there done that. and it rode like a goat wagon. no felx what so ever

 

I have this exact same setup.

Did you get 4-5" over stock, or 4-5" over sagged out rear springs that were damn near running on the bump stop?

When I did mine I ended up getting 5.5" of lift in the rear. 2" due to the springs and 3.5" of sag taken back out of the springs.

In the front, without touching the T-bars, I gained 2" of lift on the wheel well to rim measurement. I left the T-bars at the "stock" setting, whatever that was after 130k miles. My rig still has a bit of a rake to hit, with the back sitting a bit higher than the front. But, when I put my gear in it, it sits level, and rides really nice. I have wheeled it several times, but have not seen any settling of the springs, as of yet.

With 31" tires, it is going to look a little out of proportion. Just and excuse to buy a set of 33x10.5's...
