What is an A-arm that gets destroyed when a car gets broken into?

 

I believe he means smashed, as in collision. My guess is the UCA/LCA.

Advice for a replacement: Get a cheap commuter compact car (Corolla, Camry, etc) and SAS the truck. That's basically what I'm doing with my engine swap, and I wish I had done it years ago.
