That's a fantastic trick. My prob is with the PVC version and my gasket I couldn't get enough grease in to even have a problem pulling the spline back to put the clip on. The PVC version prevents the grease from pushing the spindle inwards as well, and I wonder if that also hinders the grease from going in deep? I'm gonna make the other version of the grease packer because I think it'll work better then the PVC version I made. I never seen grease in the bushing from the backside but the little that must have made it there definitely improved my noise and movement of the cv axle in the hub. but after test driving it I now discover that I do have a cv joint clicking at full turn, well more of a clunk actually.

 

mine does that! haha bad lubrication I guess because after inspecting it everything looks to be on its shape and place, just a little bit weared out. soo nothing to do there but wait till it breaks and get a new one
