Engine just started this a couple of days ago.Starts fine and runs perfect on
half hour drive.After shuting off for 15-20 minutes and restarting has misfire.
Next mourning, starts and runs fine. My thinking is maybe injector internals binding. Haven't had time yet to troubleshoot. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this before?

Your description is a little vague BTW. The term "misfire" is pretty open to interpretation. So I can't really tell you much more, until you tell me some more.

FYI, don't expect some kind of "magic spell" to be uttered by some "mechanical wizard" here that will "magically" fix your problem. There's going to be some level of physical work and/or investigation/inspection to be done to get to the bottom of it, in all likelyhood. The whole "has this happened to you? what did you do to fix it?" thing kinda irks me. A lot of different things can cause issues that appear to be the same symptomatically. Meaning, my experience does not necessarily relate to yours, even if it does resemble it. Does that make any sense? Are you seeing what I'm saying here? It could be MANY different things that would cause a "misfire"...

EDIT: I apologize. Let's not get started off on the wrong foot here. In all seriousness though, I hate the term "misfire" personally. Every mechanic thinks he knows what it is, and/or what the term means. However, VERY FEW can diagnose the event correctly/accurately. Meaning most of them wouldn't know a real "misfire" if it happened right it front of their noses(much less why it's happening if it is). So, what you call a "misfire" probably doesn't qualify as one in my book. In fact, there's no real "standard characteristic" to define/judge exactly what a misfire is if you do observe one. It's more of an estimation of what sound it makes and/or what peculiar engine behavior(s) it causes. Which is, like I said, open to interpretation. Everybody thinks they know..."that's a miss" and "that isn't a miss". Yeah...right.

So anyways, the a FSM there lists 11 areas to troubleshoot for a "misfire". Supposing that's what it really is.

3. your plug wires

4. valves

5. timing

6. temp sensor

7. MAF

8. throttle body

9. vacuum leak

10. any wire from the ECU to any part of the motor including grounds

11. rings

12. pistons

13. distributor

14. rotor

15. timing chain

16. cooling system

didnt wana sound like a d**k, just trying to make a point..

 

OK,let me put this a bit more simple. It starts skipping,running on 5 cylinders,low power
(I think,it don't pull as good as normal,I think thats low power). It just don't make sense
to run good and after shuting off for 20 minutes and restarting it "SKIPS". Hard to run
engine and unplug injectors with upper manifold off. Just didn't seem like plug or plug wire.

 

Get a squirt bottle and mist water all around the plug wires at night. Look for sparks.

Probably time to change your plugs, mine just did that a month ago... running fine then starts acting like it's starving for fuel and not running on all cylinders. Had some crap on one of my plugs... new plugs,wires,cap and BAM!
