interior years?

Well, my interior on my 86 pickup, is really beat and its the ugly brown color theme.

Can i swap in interior parts only form 84-88? or can i go newer?

since ill be repainting my truck, i was thinking of doing it when i take all the interior out, and paint it as well, then swap in the gray interior.

also my fan vents are cracked and can you replace those as well? would finding a whole dash together just swap in?

Yeah, you can swap out the entire dash with no problem. I believe 84-86 dashes are different than 87-88 (89 for the 4 runner). Just make sure the dash tray matches up with yours (short tray vs. long tray) and you'll be good to go.

Are you going to do the $50 paint job? You know, the roller method, and yacht paint..

i've been eyeballing interior parts for a few weeks now on ebay. there's a couple different styles of door panels, some all fabric (sr5) and some all vinyl (dlx) some back panels have little cubbies for stash, some don't, some have cut outs for power window switches and therefore no crank handles. there's a couple different size arm rests with variable spacing for the bolts (5" or 7" apart) so check your interior door for mountability. but other than that, the front dash is the compatible 84-89 (4r).

i've been trying to add 90-95 parts to my '88 and i'm finding some issues requiring customization. for example, i just put a newer steering wheel on, and found the horn ring is 1/8" larger, so my horn contact is being intermittent until i remove the wheel again and do some careful mod. center consoles i've read will fit with some custom bracket making.

so for interiors you can use anything '84-'88, and can make some 90-95 stuff work if you're a little crafty.

good luck!
