I need a new sun visor for the left side of my 1990 4Runner 3VZE in grey and when I priced these things on the Internet, I was shocked at how expensive they are. But I also know that car companies often use many of the same parts across both models and years, so I'm wondering if anyone has some experience that might be useful here. I plan to go get a visor from a junk yard, but it would help if I knew how interchangeable these things are. I'll be taking a tape measure with me for sure, but I'm wanting to know if the screw holes are and the pivot angles and all that other junk are the same.

 

I put some tacoma ones in my Trekker ... so I think most are .
I just undid the swing mount and put into the newer one .

 

I know the 99 (3rd gen) also fit the second gen.

But want to find some m'self that have the extender thingy.

 

ThanX y'all. It makes me crazy to have to spend a lot of money for something that is terribly non-complex and probably just rubber stamped especially when I can buy engine parts that are technically complex to design and build for a third of the price.
