Installing an older 22RE in a 92 4wd PU
Blew engine in my 92 22RE 4wd PU 400,00-0 + miles. found an older 22RE powered mini-home with only 39,000 original miles. Engine ran sweet. bought whole thing for $750. and towed it home.
A friend of mine swapped the engine but could not get the injectors to run right. If what I read was right, I have to get a set of 1992 Injectors and install the to match the ECU. Being 79 y/o I will be taking it slow.
But I have been working on cars and trucks since I was 13 years old. Just haven't liked them since they did away with points and condensors.
I live in Forsyth, GA between Atlanta and Macon.
Any help appreciated.

Do you still have the original engine that failed? it might be easier to use the ECM, intake, throttle body and all the external components from it and transfer them on to the older long block. Everything from the original 92 should be plug and play.
Here's a great Toyota reference. Scroll down for the EFI, ECM and injector information. https://www.pirate4x4.com/threads/to...aq-2-0.775780/
Good luck with it! Be sure to follow up how it all went.
