Installation of Roof Rack
I am going to install a roof rack on my 95 4runner that I pulled off of a 94 4runner.
Do you think that I will be okay installing it with 3/4 in stainless steel screws for the ends and 1/2 in screws in the middle? I am going to put silicone down as well.
Does anyone have the measurements?
Any advice before I move forward with this? Once I put a hole in the roof you really can't go back!

sorry i don't have any advice for ur situation but plz take pictures when u are installing and when u are done. i have a 95 4runner and a roof rack is in my near future and i wouldn't mind seeing how it looks and how it is done. besides, it would make a good thread for the tech section.

if you have the moon roof, youll want to use short screws at the front otherwise they will protrude far enough to gouge the trim around the glass when you open the roof.
mine has an aftermarket rack and the genius that installed it must have used too long a screw for the front. the pass side trim has a nice mark from the screw. good thing its up high and i dont see it all the time.

Thanks for the advice...
I put the rack on today without any bumps and so far it is a success. The sun roof will open and close without any problems.
I will be posting some pictures and how I did it later.
