on sand i run about 10psi, but it sounds like some tranny slippage check the tranny fluid (burnt or brown)

 

Tranny fluid and filter changed and lucas added at last oil change. However, I didn't know until I read it here that to get all the old fluid out you need to drain the T-case as well. So I will probably do it again.
I f the tranny does die it's just an excuse to finally get that 5spd in.
