Ignitor, rpm sensor anything to worry about?
I posted this earlier so here it goes again. I have code 6 showing up and was wondering what I should do about it. The truck still seems to run fine. I jsut don't want to get stranded. Code 6) Engine Speed (RPM) sensor, circuit Ignitor or circuit, distributor, ECU. What could have caused this and how do I fix it?

It means there is a signal issue in the ignition system somewhere. It's going to be hard to find unless the truck quits running or it constantly throws the code and you have access to an oscilliscope.
Most mechanics would start replacing parts (guessing) until it goes away.
I don't know anything about the engine speed sensor, however.
HAve you looked at the factory service manual in regard to debugging this code?

No, I have not looked at the FSM. However, I know a mechanic with a oscilliscope I think. What he has is something that looks like a computer that has a graph of how the engine runs. It looks like a sin curve. Would that be able to tell me what is wrong?

It'd be able to show you the ignition signal. If something was getting spiked, had noise, or was producing a bad signal you'd be able to see it. It requires some electronics experience.
