Ignition Switch wire identification

I'm getting ready to install an RFID-keyed push button ignition in my 1986 4Runner. This way I can key it with my RFID implant in my hand. You know, for funsies. 🤣

I'll be using an after market switch to make a harness for my push button/RFID unit so I don't have to hack away at my original equipment and not be THAT PO one day. If anything happens I can just unplug and reset to hardware key.

But, my question is about the ignition switch harness. I've identified the primary switch wires on the switch itself using my Multimeter and various key positions, but both the stock and the aftermarket have secondary harness with two wires (Green and GreenWhite).

What does it do? It seems to mount on the back of the key barrel, then plugs into another 2 wire harness by the vehicle harness switch plug.

I've disconnected it from the harness side(not key Barrel end) and the truck still starts fine. I haven't test drove it, but I can't possibly think of how that would impact anything.

Thoughts?

If its an automatic my guess would be for the neutral safety switch? I could be wrong but my current project (88 V6 Auto) had a push button start tapped into the ignition switch wiring...it was a mess but it is normal now. The neutral safety switch was bad so the previous owner bypassed it via push button for whatever reason.

A few random guesses, the buzzer when the key is in the ignition? Or maybe the light reminder buzzer?

Buzzer it is! You win...nothing.

I just found an install video that specifically stated it's the buzzer. It hasn't worked in years. Guess I'll just delete it.
