Ignition switch trouble

Oka, so after im getting my wheel bearings fixed..i have to figure out another problem..Got new Toyota Keys from the Dealer..and I havnt had to much trouble til now..oka so today after school ( Senior 2011).my counselor held me back to tell me about grad stuff right..( i get out at 2:50 and supposed to be at work by 3) so I get done with that, and haul A$$ home, get out and put my work clothes on..3:15, already late..get back in my truck in a hurry and my key wont go in my ignition switch..I had this problem earlier thats why i got new keys..and im messing with it..and the tip of my key breaks off and is stuck in my ignition switch..so im thinking great..and the spare is with my dad, who is in Florida on a business trip..ended up prying the tip out..and running to work..good thing my work is only 1 1/2 miles away..

Anyways that was my day..Funn stuff but I was curious if you yotatechies new anything i could do that would help..without replacing the switch..( once i get the key in it turns just fine but the trouble is getting the key in)

Thanks
Josh

PS. I bought this truck last year in May
Heres all the things Ive had to do to it since
Full Tune up NGK wires, plugs, OEM Rotor and Cap
O2 Sensor Replacement
Shocks
Timing belt, water pump, pulleys and No.1 and no.2 Idler bearings ( no.1 was bad)
Drivers side CV
Wheel Bearings
New Serpentine Belts
New Fluids F/R Diff, power steering, Coolant, Oil(obviously lol thats no biggie) Transmission, Transfer Case, brake fluid
Stereo didnt work that had to change..Kenwood Deck, 4 new infinity speakers with tweeters, 2 12in subs and 1200W Amp.
New 31x10.50R15 All Terrains
New Bulbs
Mounted Fog lights
Register it in Oregon from Idaho
New Tags and plates twice. because the front license plate fell off.And the officer was being a D$%# about it
Mud Flaps, cops again
And now the clutch is starting to feel soft. So im sure thats gnna go bad soon
Replacement Muffler, cuz the other one was split open and would rattle at idle.
New Door.( my fault slid into a tree.while i was offroading) got it for $125 same color as my rig
Front end alignment, and tire balancing
Shifter feels kind of clunky not very smooth, will probly need new shifter bushings..( not 100% sure)
All within 11 months of owning it
And now it will probly need a new ignition switch
I bought it for $3600 with 138,600 on it
And I have 144,300 on it now..
I swear this truck is a curse..
New I should've gotten a first gen lol oh yeaa and I have a part time job pumping gas at 8.50 an hour..suprised im not in debt. so every cent I earn goes to this rig basically lol Kinda sad

Yes I would try lubing the lock may as well do the doors also.

All vehicles take tender loving care. I don`t think I ever bought a vehicle that didn`t take a $1000.00 or $1500.00 right after I drove it home to bring it up to my standards. Just normal maintenance that was just let go for lack of funds or unaware it needed done.

Make doesn`t matter

Do not lube the ignition with any kind of oil! Use graphite. You can get it at any hardward store in the door knob section.

Its a powder in a squirt tube. Cut the tip off and squeeze puffs of graphite in the lock.
