Ignition coil help

So I have a 1986 pickup with the 22re. I am converting to run a propane setup. I need to find a carb ignition coil but idk what kind to get? Should I go stock or do an msd ignition? I've heard mixed reviews on the msd. What are you guys with 22r running?
thanks for the help

I switch to a MSD Master Blaster II coil 20 years ago so to open the plug gap to get a bigger spark kernel. Currently I opened the gap from OEM 0.032 to 0.045 gap. Runs and idles smoothly. It's a 22RE, so not much power to begin with, but the MSD coil seems to have a bit quicker throttle response. Main advantage is it now doesn't flatten out power at higher RPMs. Still running it with no issues. It's a 45,000 volt output vs the 12,000 to 15,000 of the OEM. Direct replacement. I did run a thicker coil to distributor wire. Use OEM spark plug wires as found them to work fine and last. Tried several aftermarket and not impressed. Can't hurt even if you keep the gap the same. The are affordable

I tend to stay off pirate for anything more than fabrication questions. They dont play nice with newbie questions like this hahaha

I'll check that out. I'm gonna be putting propane on hold for a while till I get some more research done. Apparently running an auto requires a manual shift controller and I'm not ready to jump into that just yet.
