idling at 15mph

I have a 91 DLX manual, 3.0, 4x4, with 33s, and I just discovered this morning that I can idle in second gear at 15mph from a dead stop. Is that high? I'm noticing that my mpg is not great, and I had a lumpy idle, so I have adjusted the idle screw a few times, and it's working great now, but since I don't have a tach, I have no idea what it's set at. In neutral, idle seems pretty normal, but I laughed pretty hard when I was cruising down the street at 15mph without using my accelerator. Is that normal? Every thread I have seen talks about the rpm ranges, but without a tach, I don't know where the screw should be to be at 800-850. So I guess I'm asking if I should adjust it, or enjoy not having to use my accelerator. Maybe I should see how fast I can go if I idle in 3rd gear.....
