Identify this lift
Passenger knuckle has "PRO BUILT 57089-12PS" stamped in it on a 1992 Toy 4x4 Pickup.
I need to replace this knuckle cause it is bent and ripped to hell. I searched everywhere for "Pro Built" lift kits and found nada.
Anyone help??

Ok sorry. Need to find the company to see if they will warranty, or at least buy a new part. Previous owner installed/had install lift and I have nothing.
Well the steering connector rod broke on the trail so we used a wrench so get us out. Robbed Ubolts for steering stabilizer and a clamp for some motorcycle handguards. Friggin McGyver!!!

Pictures of the lift. Driver side obviously.

Part that is broken. Notice the tear in the circle. Also, bent good up above out the frame.

Stamped on the flat surface at the arrow is PRO BUILT 57089-12PS.

just looked at the install directions for the stage 1 kit and though the diff-drop brackets are different, the knuckle / spindle extension is the same as the stage II... maybe they revised the kit and switched from welded tube extensions to the forged units, (somewhere around dec '05, the date on the instructions).

HEy all.....what do you mean by the lift looks weak. Insult away....i dont care.
If something looks Mickey Mouse please let me know so I can address it. I'd rather you insult me than walk out 7 miles in the snow again!!! I am just learning $X$ so everything is new to me coming from street rods and the like.

anything I'd say about the lift being weak, ignoring the relay rod / wrench fix and the welded tube spindle / knucle extensions... the rect tube bump stop extensions... well either way, wouldn't matter.
well all of those ... and well the whole lift kit... those would be the weak things I see.

Haha.....well the wrench is just there to get us off a trail because the relay rod snapped 7 miles in. I just havent gone through and swapped in a replacement yet because with the steering knuckle all bent up there is just no reason to as of yet since its gonna be in the driveway till that gets replaced.
SO instead of trying to replace the broken knuckle ext. you'd recommend replacing the entire lift then?
I am not interested in taking on a SAS so if it needs to be done right that is the way i should go in your opinion?
Thanks for any help

I'm looking at the pics and I don't see a bent up steering knuckle. Can you pic a pic and circle what you're talking about?
and yeah, if the knuckle / spindle extension is the cause of the problem, I wouldn't drive it anywhere until both left and right are fixed and won't bend or break.

I bought a complete steering setup from a guy minus the pitman arm becase my puller busted trying to get it off when we were stripping the donor truck so i will just get a new one. I have all the linkage sitting here ready to go but like I said with the knuckle extender broken..... no hurry till that gets resolved
Hey Abe, if you check out the 4th pic, in the circle, you can see where the weld broke and it is not a great angle but you can see the 1/8" or so gap from where it started to bend away from its home.
I'll call pro-comp today and see what they say. I really do not want to drop grand on a lift. In fact, I really cant drop a grand on a lift!!!! Be great if they would sell me the knuckles only but not sure if they would work since the are welding and the new ones seem cast. Probably similar geometry but I dont know if they would be interchangeable. We'll find out when i call today.

The diffferential drop brackets and the bumpstop brackets look like Trailmaster. As far as I know they were the only bolt togeter bracket. As for the drop spindles? I've never seen on with a rounded front bar and the rest being a cast unit. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that someone modified/fixed the spindles. Or Trailmaster has either changed their front spindles or they are another brand with the Trailmaster differential drop.
Here is the old install pictures that shows the drop brackets and such - but the spindle part numbers dont match yours.

They've changed their site so I cannot find their current part numbers.
Hope this helps!
