i just had the same problem 2 weeks ago and have the same truck. i hit the hole and my truck shut off i got water in my motor and got the problem solved in no time.pull your plugs and turn the motor over to get the water out. i replaced the oil in engin and plugs air filter and oil filter it did not run but come to find out my mass air flow was broke and not allowing the fuel pump to come on. im you look under your hood by the fuesbox there is a diognastic box jump Fp to +B and it will send direct 12v to the fuel pump. but have the mass air flow un pluged and if the truck runs plug the maf in and if it dies the maf is bad

we tried to boost it, nothing. just click. click.
so then we pulled the plugs and found some water, then we towed it and droped it into first and the rears just locked right up.. we tried again... nothing.

Man oh man... super sorry to hear all this bud... I learned a very similar lesson somewhat recently. Went wheelin alone, middle of the day.. only person in the truck. Super excited because I had just spent 9 hours swapping a transmission on my 4runner solo having no experience doing this, so I didn't want to wait for someone to be available to go with... Long story short I ended up rolling the truck on a silly little dirt hill... rolled over 3 complete times and landed on its tires. I was actually able to drive it home after just peeling the busted windshield back and I was not hurt. I'm confident it was nothing short of a miricle I was unscathed save a few bumps and bruises even though I didn't even have on a seatbelt.... Super dumb... however I shall never ever go wheelin solo again. Good luck with the ride man.

ok so i grabbed her today

someone made off with my bosch lights, kicked in my signal light and stole my CB antenna, so you're welcome, whoever you were, for the entertainment and free stuff. karma will deal with you appropriately.

anyway

verdict..blown headgasket..

calling toyota tomorrow..i dont have much hope though..

deep breath... i know that it seems like it sucks, but honestly, it was a ticking time bomb anyways... while your there replacing it, replace the timing belt, water pump, and be sure to check the cylinders for scoring...
