how much coolant to use on a 3vze

I'm going to drain my cooling system tomorrow, how much coolant should I put back in and does anyone recomend toyota over prestone?

My fsm lists the capacity at 10.5 quarts for the 3vze.

Yea mine does too, but I'm only going to be draining my radiator, 10.5 is 2.5 jugs...I thought when you drained and refilled it you only use 1 jug and distilled water for the rest

10.5 is the total capacity, so that would be 5.25 of coolant and 5.25 of water. You could probably get away with one jug of coolant, but for maximum protection you should use a 50/50 mix.

As for Toyota or Prestone they'll both work just as well.
