How many miles have you gotten on an Engnbldr timing chain kit?

 

none. i went with an OSK kit for both of my '87s when i changed the timing chains.

 

I had like 85k on mine. No issues. But I pulled the engine and it lives in someone else's truck now

 

I think I used Engnbldr kits on four engines MANY years ago. No problems ever, but three trucks were sold and I sold my best 22RE ever to swap in a 3.4. Don't know what happened to any of them.

 

Thanks for the responses. The reason I'm asking is, my recent problems with timing was not the chain but is the distributor drive gear. I thought it looked ok but then it's the only one I've ever seen, until I saw a pic of one in Radrunner's build thread the other day. Anyway, I didn't see the pic until I had the timing cover pulled. So I'm trying to decide whether to replace the timing chain even though it's fine. It is an Engnblder kit I put on in 2017. It has 90K on it. I thought I had seen someone post that they had gotten over 150K on one.
