hmmwv's cab swap

As you all know, I rolled my truck and plan to replace my cab with the old 2wd's cab. This has already proved to be a pita, and has already challenged how little I know about these trucks. I don't know how I'll manage to do this, as I find it hard to even take the dash apart. Hopefully I'll find someone on here who will be willing to help me at least online.

First got it home:

That night got some of the interior out, fenders, doors, and windshied duct taped to keep it kind of in tact:

Then today didn't get to much at all before it started raining and had to stop. All work was done prepping the 2wd cab today:

How both sit after it started to rain:

It might be to late and it might not work, but can you cut the cab at the fender and bed level and weld it on. /

I know someone that can, but some of the cab below the bed is bent a little. Still don't know yet though.

one thing that I know of, there is no hole for the transfer case shifter. Also, I guess it's not body, but my fenders aren't flared out on the 2wd.

One question, does anyone know if the mounting points of a 4runner body are the same as a pickups? If so, I would more than likely turn mine into a 4runner! That would be sweet!!!

You'd be better off buying a 4runner.

Yeah, I was being stupid following another friend in a similar truck drifting around a dirt road, they made it okay without 4x engaged, I had 4x engaged and it pulled me into a ditch. That's what flipped me. I think if you hadn't sold me that roll bar for so cheap, I wouldn't have one, and I might not be here telling the story. But we flipped her back over and she started right back up. Only in a toyota, right?

I once again worked too late to get pictures up, but I did manage to get some of the wiring and dash out. Also drained and removed the radiator. So then a friend pulled the 2wd on stands so I could get to bleeding the brakes easier, and never got to it 'cause it got dark. So I'll probably do all that tomorrow.

If anyone has any front fenders in ga that they would like to donate or sell cheap, let me know. I will also be going up to new york to niagra falls here in a couple of days. If anyone has any parts they want to get rid of I might be interested.
