my truck was hit by an old lady in the same spot a year ago, luckily her neighbors, are one of my good friends and watched the whole thing happen, the lady was so old she didnt realize she hit my truck until I told her. she just forked over the cash to fix it. I felt bad taking from an 85 year old woman! But none the less she did it. Some people just shouldnt be on the roads.

I had a guy back into my truck hard in a parking lot. He did $3700 in damage! Not sure how he could hit it as bad as he did in such a small parking lot but he did and then took off while I was still in the store.

A guy saw they whole thing and followed him all the way out of town then came back to tell me what had happened. I asked if he got a license plate number, NO but he did manage to give me a very poor description of the vehicle. Yeah thanks for nothing!

yep, that sucks.

I had someone break into my garage, steal about 500 worth of stereo stuff out of my wife's celica (kenwood head unit, 10 disc changer, 200w amp and box with 2 10" subs) and took an 8000 dollar Anritsu (cell site test equipment) out of it's pelican case (left the case). They left the stuff in my firebird (pioneer h/u, changer, fosgate amp and 2 8" bazooka tubes).
About 2 weeks later, one of my friends (a co-worker) was approached by a guy (my friend was driving his company truck) who offered him an Anritsu for 50 bucks. My friend got the guy's name and bought the Anritsu. Then he called me and I checked the serial number on the calibration certificate in the case against the Anritsu... they matched. Turns out the guy with the Anritsu was an old friend of mine (now ex-friend) and was arrested and charged with grand-theft and the company compensated my friend his 50 bucks.
Unfortunately, didn't get the stereo equipment back.
Had to be more than one person though... can't see 1 person carrying a 4" long speaker enclosure, stereo, amp, cd changer and the Anritsu. Oh well. Haven't heard any more about it so maybe the ex-friend gave up his cohorts.

quickywd01 thanks man you rock !!!!

as far as getting stolen from I guess im very lucky I tend to leave my tools in the back of the truck along with gas cans and recovery equipment and have never got anything stolen but my CB antenna.

I even was visiting someone in San Fransisco and was stupid enough to leave my keys in the ignition with the window rolled half way down for the whole night! wow did I feel stupid after that one. I guess I am so used to leaving the keys in the truck I did what I do at home.

My home is up some long mountain road and we have three dogs all that hate tweekers along with neighbors who shoot guns frequently and also hate tweekers.

You're welcome. Go to http://www.imageshack.us/ and select the "url" at the top and then right click on your myspace pic, click on properties. Select and copy the full link address and then paste that into imageshack and click host. After it loads you can try all those links by pasting which ones you like then you can hit preview post here and you can see if it worked and which links do what. I feel your pain because my engine spun a bearing so it's going to be a while before I even get to drive it.

That does suck dude, very sorry to hear about that.

I was at my friends house in the country sleeping sound, when i hear my alarm go off, so i jumped off the couch, grabbed my remington 870 (18'' barrel 7slug) ran out the front door and fired a shot off in the air, i saw 2 guys run away from my truck and i see my subs, amp, stereo and some change drop to the ground. As i racked my gun I see them get in some honda civic and haul away from my friends house.

good thing im a light sleeper, haha.

good luck with that around where I live- you'd get cited for unlawful discharge of a firearm. maybe you could fight it if there were a few blanks loaded before you hit the real slugs though...

If only I could get away with taking pot shots at people breaking into cars. My prelude got broken into twice and the second time the cops didn't even take the perfect set of fingerprints at the top of the glass. I trimmed down some razors to fit in the channel just outside the window and glued them in place. One day I walked out to blood trails on my window but it never got broken into again.

Sorry to hear about your truck man.

the way they were breaking into it was to peel up the outside molding to pull out the window at the front corner so they could reach in and unlock the door. After the second time I noticed that the fingerprints were in almost the exact same spot both times. With a dremel and a lot of patience I cut the razors down so that they weren't visible. Just took a little superglue and some spare molding to get it perfect.

well the pics from my truck that was not a hit and run, and yes your right it was a big ass truck it was actually a flatbed international 4x4 from a stupid tree company, well the one over the wheel is. The ones near the brake light are from a tree branch I tried to use as a resting spot on a hill........

Ive had a hit and run happen in my work parking lot. My truck is already dented enough so I wasnt too worried about the damage. It's the fact that they just drove off without telling me. Just have a little consideration for others. I would have just shrugged it off.
