I got up at 7am this morning to find this



i filed a report with police but it probably wont do much, at least i have full converge ,douse anyone know what the damage estimate would be. The tail gait is warped and bed has a bulge in the middle the frame looks fine.

 

honestly they might total it out

these trucks don't blue book for much

you are looking at a min, of a new bed, tail light, mouldings, tailgate, plus paint and labor if you go to a shop and they order the parts you're looking at probably 3-5k maybe more

 

dude i have been down the same path as you ... wasn't my truck by my car. Its the worst feeling in the world to walk out to that. Good luck

That may be a little extreme, but a drag from their car and a severe beating might be in order... Then they would have to bend over and take the repair cost without any help from the insurance company. Maybe jailtime too if they're drunk. Drunken idiots.

 

no paint transfer? Walk your neighborhood and peer over fences, when this happened to me the dude lived right around the block.

Insurance should not total that out. Those trucks are still worth quite a bit, and if they can find a decent box locally, they will fix your truck. Not having a bumper may have saved it from frame damage, strange as it may seem.

yea thats ruff to wake up to, i would keep an eye out like stated previously, around you neighborhood, they had to be there to visit someone, look for your red paint on their car and then get the plate and try not to end up going to jail....Sorry for your luck, and good luck with the repair

 

Look for a white car with red paint on driver side front fender/bumper. As suggested, its likely one of your neighbors. If you got young kids, let them start talking to their sand box fiends. Won't take long before one of them tells about the accident their daddy had the other day.

A coworker of mine had a van that would get hit probably every other month. Downhill on a turn and drunk tards always hit him.
