i run my rig on vegatable cooking oil. Obviously its a diesel engine and not your big gas running rigs. 3.0turbo veg

lol i'll bet. well i'll bet it saves you tons over there. i remember my friend saying that to make it cost effective you've gotta mix it in big batches, but that's in the US. diesel is so cool... I wanna see toyota make a midsize diesel and drop em in a taco...that'll be the day.

they would do if your diesel was suitable, apparantly the quality of US diesel isnt up to the standards of european deisel as you all run Gas motors and the quality isn't an issue for the vehicles that do run on it.

might make a big difference to your engine choices if they sort it out.

its a cheaper fuel to make apparantly, and the oil companys want you to buy the more expensive gasoline.

no conversion neccesary on this engine. just change the fuel filter after 200 miles, and then change it every 6000 miles on service.

it does smell like im cooking french fries out of the tailpipe though

mmm french fries...i remember driving behind my friend who was running vegi and after about 10 mins i felt like i was gonna throw up.

diesel is definitely cheaper than gas to make. it's refined in the same tanks as gas but it takes much less to refine it. while i'm sure the quality here in the US is way subpar to Europe, diesel is so much more efficient. from trucks to sedans you'll always get better mileage as well as better performance when it comes to the diesel engines these days.

ex) my friends 6000 lb dodge 2500 cummins will get at least 20 mpg while pulling a trailer and uphill. and when it comes to performance...that thing hauls balls.

quick question: how come you don't find hilux's in the US?

Welcome to YT, nice truck. Does the little heffer whine about bugs in his snout?
But seriously you haven't seen the price for a gallon of diesel here. Running $.02 more than a gallon premium gasoline in my area. 93oct $2.29, Diesel $2.31.

Wonder if they rent that type Hilux Surf when I am there in March?

Do you process the vegi oil before filling the tank? Do you use used veggie oil or new?
