Hesitation to Steer in 4WD

Hey guys... I haven't had a 4X4 before, so I don't know if this is normal. Prolly a noob question...

When I turn in 4WD (Hi or Low) at low speeds, the truck seems to bind up and not want to drive. Is that normal? I don't have lockers (my truck is stock IFS). If I turn the wheels about halfway either way and then try and start driving, the truck doesn't seem to want to drive. And forget it with the wheels locked. Mind you this is on pavement... (I was testing my Warn Hubs)

Thanks!

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT DRIVE IN 4WD ON DRY PAVEMENT...... It will bind up your system and can lead to breakage of the drivetrain, probably starting with CV joints.

4WD is for low traction surfaces.. search around the site a little for this topic and you will see why not.. There are also photos of the original sticker that should be in the truck that will show you when you use 4wd, vs 2wd...

No worries...

Since you have hubs, you will want to put the truck in 4wd, hubs unlocked, for a few miles each month to keep the front drivetrain lubed.
