primer base, grey and black "patches"

i think you'll be fine. besides, you can always sand down or paint over. just don't spray too close, so you get a nice fade. here's one of my free-hand paint jobs (masked the numbers then painted black)

it's gone to six pages bc it's not everyday that you get to pick a paint scheme that you won't have to live with. Wabbit, paint that 2dr. pink and put you logo on it.

haha true wii. I am getting better feedback on this one then I originally did with that blue camo thread.

Just got to put this out there though, as this is a very budget minded paint job. The truck isn't perfect as far as body condition. Must be able to be touched up later on (hense the flat or satin is ok too I guess paint). I don't have the tools necc to do any major body repairs the "correct" way.

If I were to to it the right way, I would definitely go Tan and use the $200 per gallon paint from MILSPRAY.

i got the file, but photochop is being a jerk!

So here is my idea.
Black bottom like you have, but follow it up around the wheel well on the fender.
door window frame black
tan/desert body
black hood, or follow the hood bump in black
black bed frame with natural finish wood
black rims with tan pin stripe wheels (around the rim)

i would add a third color, like blue or red to outline some stuff/body lines maybe rim stripes

ill try to get my photochop running, haven't used it in a while

RBX that file was done in CS5 but should be in compatibility mode, if that matters any. Also it might complain you don't have the patterns as well, which isn't a big deal since you won't be using them anyway.

RBX dude, that looks even more badass then anything else on here. Almost makes me want to gloss the truck instead of flat.

I really like that orange pinstripe. It would match my construction sign on the LSPV bracket. lol.

Looks good Brandon.
Exactly what iwas thinking. Striping the rims will bring it all together, I think it's importan to paint the frame of the bed to make the hole truck look like you intended it.
I am a big fan of flat color. You could make the pin stripe gloss, real easy to do after the paint is finished. Plus you could fine a local striper to do it for cheap because it's so simple, or mask it and air brush it yourself(that's what I would do). You could get away with using store bought pine stripe, so you could play wig colors.

To me that pinstripe I laid down is about 3" or so. But that's only a guestimate. Still not so sure about leaving the wood natural. The wood that's on there right now is actually painted brownish. Not opposed to putting new wood on there though.

Oh yeah is anyone noticed I took an earlier recommendation and "tinted" the window.

Like that one with the orange pinstripe.... you could try many different colors for the stripe, yeah? That green one you had up before might look good, OD? But the Orange, man that looks good. Maybe you could do the stripe with a smaller secondary stripe like red or something, kind of a Doug(whatever his name is) mock up? lol. MAN, I can't wait for you to do one of these, brandon,...excited for ya
