help with codes. yes i searched.

hey. I searched, and found out how to check for codes, i even found out what the codes are for. what i need help with is what do the codes mean?


its a 90 4 runner 22re. The codes i got were 25 and 26. I cleared them 2 days ago, and now the CEL is back on again with those 2 codes.

any ideas on where to look first?

25 Air/Fuel ratio lean.
26 Air/Fuel ratio rich.

seem to me your afm is going out
just my guess

Very likely. Also possible that your oxygen sensor is sticking.

Do the 02 sensor first. Do you have any mods to your exhaust? Headers?

no mods to the exhuast. o2sensor is newish, less then a year old ( i ahve a receipt) I have another AFm so i'll try that.

that reminds me, the AFM on the truck now isnt adjustable( hole still plugged/ untampered with)

The other one i have has been drilled and has been adjusted in the past. Is there anything i should know or a way to set them up properly????????
