Here's mine, I used a Rotozip and plywood. I found some material I liked and spray glued it on.

This is what I did for my truck, years ago, and it has served me very well. I had the factory premium stereo package to start with. I didn't want anything sticking out into the cab, so I enlarged the factory speaker location in the sheet metal enough to be able to mount my Infinitys behind the modified factory grille.

I was able to put in 6 1/2" 3 way Reference speakers, which still sound very good!

I used the Dremel to cut out the center of the factory grilles, creating frames to mount perforated speaker mesh in them. It keeps the speakers pretty steathy (the flash shows more than you can usually see, up above).

While I don't have a sub (or even want one), this solution works very well for the main speakers, and doesn't affect the carrying capability of the cab, at all.

Yup, straight into the plastic lip behind. materials are wood, carpet, spray glue, self tapping screws and all the related hardware that came with the speakers. All in all, the sounds is quite good. if you want a high res close up photo, PM me.
