Help for 4WD sensor P/N

Hello, could anybody help to find the correct PART NUMBER, please.

For a 2nd gen 4Runner.

I’ve tried myself with toyodiy but did order the wrong one (84225-35010, SWITCH, SHIFT POSITION). At the Toyota local dealer they don’t have much knowledge of this (old for them) truck and couldn’t help.

The part in subject is a sensor for the 4WD system. This sensor had a cut wire and due to this the 4WD couldn’t engage, nor the 4WD indicator was activating on the cockpit.
The mech.tech. did swap some pipes on the solenoids of the 4WD actuator, thus forced them on. To my memory, the indicator was still not activating (I guess due to the sensor).
Then, the tech. restored the piping and dismounted the sensor and I welded the cut wire.
The 4WD system was then back to normal function.

Anyway, I don’t feel comfortable now with this somewhat-repaired wire, because the welding melted the seal of the wire in the sensor and I’m now afraid that water may go into the sensor, thus causing a permanent damage.

I have a 1KZT engine which I guess is very uncommon in the US, but probably this section of the truck is common with yours.

Thanks for help.
Enrico
