Help!!!!!!

I have an 89 4 runner. The old 22re snapped a rod cap and I'm swapping in a new 22re out of an 89 pickup. I was in a fit when I pulled the old motor and I can't tell if the working harness goes inbetween the fuel rail and the intake manifold, or if it goes underneath them or where? Any threads with detailed pictures? The search feature isn't working properly for me.

Red face

It goes between the lower and upper intake manifold

You install the lower intake then the injector harness

Then install the upper intake manifold (The throttle body and air chamber)

Welcome to my club! snapping a rod bolt and taking out the engine. Tell me; did you do it right and window the block?

Be sure to use all the electronics from your old engine to insure compatibility. Do not rush your old one to the junk yard, you might need something. Patience and smooth is fast.

The picture you show is correct but I cant see behind it. If you run the harness on the outside of the lower intake, it will come up to short. It has to come up thru the center. I may not fully understand your question. Photobucket got shut down in a lot of cases so it may be hard to find some pictures that you are looking for.

85-94 motors are all the same but each year the emissions can vary quite a bit. I too would suggest keeping your old motor until you have your new one up and running correctly.
