Help?!?
Driving my baby, my 2nd Gen runner, I ran into a post and there is something wrong with the steering. I smashed into the right(passenger) front. Ball joint are tight and so are my tie rods, can't figure this one out. Everything seems fine so I took it in for an alignment. Something is definitely wrong and I'm stumped. Any help here is appreciated. I am not ready to give up on her just yet

can you get some better pictures? more extensive ones that show extent of the damage to body and perhaps the undercarriage; if the relay rod was bent, maybe control arm damage, etc. of course, tie rods/relay rod..that's all toe in. what you have there is a very misaligned camber....like maybe damage to the control arms, bent frame, crossmember...just speculating since i can't see it well. i know when i wrecked my 4rnr there was damage to a lot of what i've mentioned here plus the frame was bent. but, then, i hit a culvert going almost 60mph and went airborne.

As I have said in the past just because a shop has a Front end rack Does not mean they have any clue how to do front end alignments .
Which seems to be the case here .
Some place that knows what they are doing would have showed you just what was wrong and what needed to be done to fix things.
Just how fast were you going ??
just how big was this post??
Something is bent just a question of what.
Do you have any pictures of before it was worked on
Just laying under looking at things something should look just different .
If you ever did work under the truck.

Work was slow today so I had some time to throw it on my rack and check everything out. Figured it out. I will peruse the forums about the repair. Instead of starting another thread for possibly the same repair. Yes I am a mechanic and have been under my truck. Especially when I did the 2 inch body lift. Usual fluid changes, ball joints, rear sway bar, old man emu rear coils and new shocks...
