Help! 3.0 with intake issues

Before anybody gets mad, ive looked through other threads and have yet to find someone with the same problem.

Anyways today i replaced my stock intake with an aftermarket one. Now a few weeks ago id done the ISR mod, everything ran fine until a replaced the piping and filter today with the new kit.

It cranked fine, but no throttle response just boggs when u hit the gas. It will kinda run if u give it gas slowly but any faster it will shut off. After this i even hooked everything stock the way i had it.... same thing acting like its not getting gas or air either or. I figured the MAF couldve went bad idk ANY HELP!??

All the vacuum hoses firmly attached and without splits/dry rot? Try re-seating any electrical connectors that you may have had loose or possibly even bumped.

yeah theres no leaking around my hoses. Ive over looked my plug ins. the only thing i can think is while moving around the maf sensor, the wires come undone or wor loose where the plug in meets the wires

I'm assuming it was running ok before you changed the intake? What causes you to think the MAF suddenly went bad?

Pick up a can of MAF cleaner and give it a good cleaning.

Yes just fine. That wat i dont get how it just went.. blah all of a sudden. Because it still runs the same (bad) after i put the stock stuff back on

And l assumed moving the maf around the plug in wires might have came loose in the boot or torn

That's the problem. If you loosened the screws instead of lifting the clip for it to pull out, you've hosed it.

im having the same issue but i found that my intake hose had a crack. the main hose has to be 100% vacuum tight in order to open the flap in the MAF which turns on ur fuel pump.. im doing the ISR mod tonight so ill let you know how mine tured out.

its not the removing that helped. its the replacing and making a better seal at the Tbody. my old hose was split. th split lost vacuum. so the MAF flap wouldnt open so the fuel pump wouldnt turn on. and there was no air going in either.

i meant to cause the overheating ha. but mine was opening u could hear the fuel pump. Then it was still runnin bad but when it sat over night..not changing anything it ran fine. When i put my cold air back on im going to make sure everything is sealed
