HELP 22re swap in Denver??

I have a 22re that has a blown head gasket..valve seals ect..And i dont have the means of rebuilding it....So im looking to get a new 22re and swap it in.... any body that can help or give good advice? I;ve called checkers they have one for $1200 with a 30,000mi warranty.a bit pricey i think..Yota yard has rebulit for $700 but only has a 30 day warranty...should i do that then run the crap out of it for the first thirty days. the truck still has IFS..but it is locked f/r with detroits..on 33.12.50's with about 6 in suspension and 2 body.already have headers and k&n ..And i dont want to loose money selling it...If any body could help or give me advice that would be well appreciated......

I think $1200 is a steal...

My first replacement was from a junkyard. It supposedly had 80k on it and was a pretty clean engine. I gave them I think $1700 for it and $500 to swap it in. It lasted about 50k then I think it had head problems or something and quit running.

I was kind of pissed at what I had spent and how short it lasted, so I didn't even bother trying to fix it and went and got a rebuilt engine for it. This engine was $2200 and $400 to put in. I just got 12k on it and a timing guide broke and jumped the time, broke the timing cover and bent 4 intake valves.

I did fix this one myself for about $600 out of pocket.

As I said, $1200 sounds pretty good.

1200 Is Reasonable... I Can Build One Myself For Under 1k And For Teh Extra 2-3 Hundred I Could Put A Nice Cam And An Engine Builder Head With The Ported Chambers And The Oversized Valves... But If Your Just Buting A New One Loom On Ebay, Also See If A Local Shop Will Rebuild Yours Any Cheaper?

I live in Boulder and have an 87 with a rebuilt 22re in it. I have headers, knn, and a trd cam in it. I am looking to swap it with a v6, it will be for sale soon, and you can see it running now. email me if interested.
