heater coil pack

What is the best/cheapest way to fix these? Can you solder resistors in where the coils used to be on the fan speed control coil pack? On an 89 xt 4x4 truck?

one could try that, but you'd need to verify exactly what resistance you need for each. the dealer does sell them, i think they're about $30 for the set.
