Is heater assembly same from 86-95?

I jsut picked up a new project, an 86 Pickup. The blend door controls dont work well and stick when trying to move the lever. It looks like I need to replace the heater asembly, which i think has the heater core inside it.

Are these the same from 86 to 95? I have a 95 and a visual before tearing anything apart they look mostly the same. I know the dash pad etc is an older style on the 86 but it looks like it should be the same behind.

I want to get the newest one I can from the wrecking yard and hopefully make my dash controls work as good on my 86 as they do on my 95.

Thanks Much
