ok so on my 1993 4runner i am a little skeptical about the condition of my headgasket so i understand that 90-95 models were covered under a recall is their way ti see if the work has already been done without giving toyota a call. for instance some type of sticker on the door jam or something, and would it be reported on such a site such as carfax?

Not necessarily. When I heard about this, I stopped by the dealership and asked the guy at the window to check the recall info for my '93 against my VIN. My HG issue was fixed, but I still have to have them fix, check, replace the steering rod for the alleged fracture. This is next on my list of maintenance things before the summer weather hits.

 

Id just call your dealership and have them look it up. When I looked mine up they told me when and where it was done
