Head Gasket on 87

Just wondering how hard it is to replace the head gaket on a 1987 toyota 4x4 pickup. It has the 22RE 4 cylinder. Is there anything I should be aware of or is there anything to really watch out for in the proddeure.
Thanks in advance for any resonses!

Its just something that takes time. Make sure that you take alot of pictures, label everything and note what goes where. Get a FSM manual or Chiltons and just follow along. Theres a couple write ups here and also on Pirate4x4.com in the FAQ section as well as on 4x4wire.com. The only tricky part is getting the intake off, theres a hidden allen bolt under the thermostat. Other than that, its just unbolting and rebolting.

Might as order a new timing chain with steel guides, if you want to get a new cam, nows the time as well.

check out engnblder.com for the parts.
