Is it the head gasket?
So my coolant level goes down about a quart a day,no puddles under the truck,no white smoke no overheating. There is a strange gurgling sound sometimes when I accelerate and my exhaust smells slightly sweet.Ive done a half a dozen head gaskets in my 46 years on various vehicles from a 1959 Ford dump truck to my other Toyota pickup,86 22re.Never have I had such elusive symptoms.Oh and my radiator was full of gooky rust, flushed it and it continues to be brown and rusty colored just not as bad.Im thinkin the gaskets blown between cylanders slightly and coolant is burning out exhaust.Am I right?

Thanx.next question.
Ive got lotsa mechanical experiance,my three sons and I have never put a car in the shop.I recently on this truck, solo, replaced the axle, leaf springs(which I disassembled two sets to combine and make a custom 6 stack leaf)shocks, lower ball joints, bed, manual aisin hubs to manual warn hubs, front bumper swap, brake lines calipers, master cylander. If I start this head gasket repair on a friday night can I complete it to get to work on monday,if I dont send out the heads.Oh its a 95 Toyota 4x4 v6.

Dont change the headgaskets unless your sure. Is your heatercore leaking (floor wet)? Take radiator cap off and crank or start engine if the headgaskets are really bad coolant will shoot out from the pressure of the cylinder compression leaking into coolant passage. Run a compression test and a leakdown test with radiator cap removed. If you dont have a leakdown tester just put each cylinder at tdc on compression stroke(valves closed) and apply 100psi into cylinder using your compression test hose with the valvecore removed. If you have coolant running out of the radiator then thats the blown cylinder. Easier on a 4cyl but can be done on a 6cyl.

Its gotta be head gasket.
No leaking in cab, floors not wet. When I take off radiator cap and start the truck it overflows out the radiator quite a bit.Im gonna start this project Friday after work.Ive already bought head gasket kit, head bolts, water pump, thermostat, timing belt, cap rotor, plug wires, plugs, vacuum hoses, oil filter, oil, coolant, air filter. What am I forgetting? And whats the deal with Fel-Pro head gaskets, everyones always putting them down, its all I could get and I will use them.Wont they be ok,I baby my truck and maintain everything methodically.

Sounds like you got everything some people also change the knocksensor harness that runs underneth the intake its available at the dealer for about $12 . I use felpro gaskets all the time unless I order a kit from engnbldr and I havent had a problem with them.
