H4 to L4 mechanism

H4 to L4 mechanism

i cant seem to be able to shift to L4 from either H2 or H4, it happen on Bobcaygeon trail, and it stayed that way, i got everything off, transfer and shifter rods are off now, 90 v6 3vze Auto; it shifts fine btw H2 & H4, cant shift manually to L4 even with ignition key in, anybody?

Sounds like there's a problem with the front drive fork shaft, maybe the shift gear head is loose on the shaft(missing the pin). Or something else ain't right with it. Can't be too hard to figure out. It's just a transfer case...

i got it; several bolts at the bottom of shifting mechanism assambly inside the cabin, broke 3 out of 6, 7, no biggy, it can be redrilled and retaped; it looks like i will have to put spacers at the bottom of shifting mechanism to lift it up, or simply saying, make it so it doesnt have contact with tranny housing
