My highway MPG is 16 Plus, but even the interstates around here are in such dismay that they are basicly the same as city driving.

I would bet my 4Runner that I-77 in Stark county is the most effed up, mangled, congested section of interstate in the country.

Keep the guesses coming, and no "betweeen this and that" guesses you wankers! LOL

So, lets play a game. Guess the MPG I will gain to a tenth of a mile. Winner gets a prize (I don't know what yet), but it will be something, I swear.

All the above mentioned parts are origional with 130,000 plus miles on them.

Check out my sig/build-up thread for further vehicle info.

I currently avaerage around 12MPG.

Airfilter is in great condition, I use 87 octane and my top end was rebuilt recently and is in good tune.

So, what is your guess? Mine is 3.1MPG.

It will take a few tanks to get a good avaerage for the winner.

How do you drive? Do you floor it at every launch but then lift at about 4200 rpm for the shift then get back into it? With this being 100% city driving? If so, Id say 2.2mpg gain.

If you normally grandma it, around town and do some highway Ill say 4.3mpg change...

I have a gentle but not geriatric driving style.

I don't floor it because the thing downshifts (auto) and all of a sudden I'm at 4000+ RPM, poor little 3.0 motor.

I accelerate smoothly and drive under 70 on the highway.

Is the 12mpg highway, around town, or both?

I say 5.9; I think the O2 sensor will show you a large increase...

Dang, I get over 18 with my '94 4x4 pickup, 3vze! That's AVERAGE...hope you see a huge improvement!

Depends . . . are you gonna correct it for tire diameter?

I did the same as you - minus the hubs and O2 sensor, and saw an increase of around 3 mpg. But I started at 15 mpg, not 12.
